Micronization in Skincare

What makes ÂN-DEW different?

Key Ingredient Focus: Azelaic Acid

Azelaic acid is a potent compound beneficial for individuals dealing with blemishes, uneven skin tone, and coarse texture. It effectively diminishes dark spots and fosters a refined skin appearance. Additionally, it offers therapeutic relief for those contending with redness or dryness due to eczema. The robust antioxidative properties of azelaic acid play a critical role in mitigating blemishes and lightening post-acne scars. This advanced formula improves skin clarity, addresses persistent imperfections, and reduces irritation, culminating in a smoother, brighter, and more youthful skin complexion.

The Azelaic acid used in our ÂN-DEW 10% Azelaic Acid + PHA serum is sourced from Europe by the world's leading supplier of cosmetic-grade azelaic acid. Exceptional purity levels and outstanding micronizing technology are what sets this ingredient apart from other azelaic-based skincare products on the market.

Skincare products containing 10% Azelaic Acid can appear similar at first glance but have significant underlying differences. Some use the derivative potassium azeloyl diglycinate while implying the use of true azelaic acid. Others use azelaic acid that has undergone inadequate micronization. Micronization is a costly and time-consuming process of reducing the size of solid particles to very small dimensions (one millionth of a meter). The benefit of extensive micronization for cosmeceuticals is increased bioavailability: smaller particles of azelaic acid have a much larger surface area, allowing for more chemical interactions with the skin’s environment (such as water, lipids, and proteins). As a result of increased interactions with the skin, azelaic acid has a greater dissolution rate, vastly improving its delivery to the skin.
