- Double cleanse ALWAYS. An oil cleanser helps break up all the SPF and makeup you're wearing. Oil attracts oil, which is especially necessary if you struggle with congestion and/or breakouts. I love the MARA Algae Enzyme Cleansing Oil for my first cleanse, and I massage it for a minute for a little extra enzymatic action.
- Second cleanse — In the inland PNW, our winters are so dry, so a creamy cleanser is the only way to go. I love the Biologiuque Rechere Lait VIP 02 for winter/dryer climates, and in the spring/summer/fall, I love the IS Clinical Cleansing Complex, a classic for acneic skin like mine.
- Next, I love the IS Clinical Cooper Firming Mist. I've gone through at least two dozen of these mists, so if this doesn't tell you how much I love it, I don't know what else will.
- Next is a no brainer, the ÂN-DEW 10% Azelaic Acid + PHA Serum. This serum is what I call a magic eraser. It helps with almost any skin ailment. Ride or die, one pump every morning and every evening. IYKYK, and if you don't, you're truly missing out.
- Followed by the cult-beloved ÂN-BALM Radiant Hydra-Balm, this is like the top coat of your routine. It locks everything in, calms, soothes, nourishes, and softens the skin. I massage it into my skin for some lymphatic drainage for a good minute. My skin craves the balm, and you will never catch me without it.
- Obviously, one does not neglect the lippies, and our girl ÂN-GLOSS really is skincare for the lips. With five skin-identical ceramides and two plumping peptides, she's a three-in-one gloss + balm + treatment—a multi-tasking wonder, I tell ya. If you've tried it, I know you always have multiple units on hand!
That's it, guys. She's a six-step girly. My skincare staples for ya. Basic, but real effective!
Also, you guys really liked my book recommendation last month, so I thought I'd include one this time around as well, mostly because the bookworm nerd in me can't help it, haha.
If you haven't heard of Jim Rohn, then you haven't gotten deep enough into personal development. Jim Rohn was the OG motivational speaker/author who mentored the likings of Tony Robbins and Darren Hardy. He really was the godfather of personal development. I love the Ultimate Jim Rohn Library the best of all things Jim Rohn really. The best of each of his books, lectures, speeches, and lessons, all compiled into one. I've listened to it over half a dozen times, and I'm not stopping anytime soon. Each time, I hear something I didn't hear last time.
The screenshot below shows some of my favorite key takeaways from the book. I love taking notes as I listen/read because it really does help retain the most information;
