Edition #003: Candace Marino aka The LA Facialist
A: ÂN-BALM is in a league of its own. From the ingredients, to the packaging, to the application, this product is a standout and a favorite amongst my team and our clients. First and foremost, the ingredients in this formula are all packed with vitamins and antioxidants, they are purpose driven and you won't find any fillers, waxes, dyes or added fragrances, unlike the majority of the oils on the market.
A: ÂN-GLOSS is packed with ceramides and cholesterol to strengthen the delicate tissue of the lips, making them nourished and more resilient.
A: The cooling tip turns an everyday application of lip balm into a moment of self care. It feels absolutely incredible!
A: ANFISA Skin is a brand that you can't not fall in love with. The first time I saw the product online, I was attracted to the branding, the packaging, the color of the balm, and as a facial massage enthusiast, I'm always looking for products to elevate the facial massage experience for my clients. After my first try, I was hooked. Then, I found out more about the brand: small business, female founded... so many things aligned that made me want to partner with the brand.
A: One of my favorite ways to use the ÂN-BALM is with my LYMA Laser or gua sha. One thing about me— if the TV comes on, I fall asleep, even if it's something I'm interested in watching. ÂN-BALM plus LYMA is the only way I can make it through a show. I also always carry the travel size balm with me and it comes in handy for so many random things— flyaways, dry cuticles, chapped or irritated skin, there are so many uses.
Q: What common skincare concerns do your clients have, and how do ANFISA Skin products help address them?
A: In Los Angeles, everyone is dehydrated, it doesn't matter if they're oily or dry. We have a desert climate, a ton of pollution, very hard water which is a recipe for dehydrated skin. ANFISA Skin hydrates, nourishes and repairs skin that needs to be replenished.
Q: How do you stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in the skincare industry?
A: Honestly, I usually stay away from the trends. As an aesthetician going on 18 years in practice, I've seen so many fads and trends come and go. I tend to stick to tried and true products and technologies and am highly discerning when it comes to adding new things to my list of offerings.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being an esthetician?
A: After nearly two decades in this career, my favorite part of being an esthetician is teaching clients how to treat and heal their own skin. A huge misconception is that you must receive treatments to change your skin, and while treatments can definitely accelerate and amplify results, many people can achieve their skin goals without ever receiving a professional treatment. A good home care routine is extremely valuable and yet highly underrated.
